Common radon system problems we fix
A radon fan typically lasts 15–20 years, but South Florida's heat, humidity, salt air, and lightning storms can shorten that lifespan considerably. Signs your system needs service include:
- Manometer reading is zero or has equalized
- Fan is silent or unusually loud
- Post-mitigation test came back above 4.0 pCi/L
- Visible cracks in the exhaust piping or roof boot
- System has never been re-tested since installation
- You've built an addition or renovated since installation
Our repair process
We start with a full diagnostic — vacuum testing, pipe integrity inspection, seal audit, and electrical check. If the fan needs replacement, we stock RadonAway RP-series, GP-series and XR-series fans on our trucks for same-day swaps.
System upgrades
Older passive systems, low-suction fans, and pre-2000 installations often benefit from a full re-engineering. We upgrade your existing pipe network, resize your fan for current conditions, and re-test to verify performance.
