Why crawl spaces are radon hotspots
A crawl space is essentially a direct pathway between the soil and your living area. Without an intact vapor barrier and active depressurization, radon rises freely into your HVAC system and gets distributed throughout the home.
Our sub-membrane depressurization approach
We deploy a two-part system engineered specifically for South Florida moisture conditions:
- 20-mil reinforced polyethylene vapor barrier fully sealed to piers and stem walls
- Perforated collector pipe network beneath the membrane
- Sealed riser to a UL-listed exterior radon fan
- Discharge above the roofline, code-compliant with FL building requirements
- Optional dehumidification integration for encapsulated crawl spaces
Additional benefits
Beyond radon reduction, encapsulated crawl spaces also solve wood rot, mold, HVAC efficiency loss and pest-entry problems common to South Florida properties. Many customers see energy bill savings of 8–15% after installation.
